Little bro Thom Seveer and I recorded our vocals to this in 2013. I think Tenacity might have mixed it in 2014 or '15. The homie LuvJonez laced me with a monsterous beat.

Originally I did this song for his project..and then I did something that I wouldn't normally do; I asked him if I could have this record for my album ("I'm the J57") and he said yes. By the time I was finished with the album, it just didnt make full sense on it, eventhough the song was dope as hell.

I released it as a single on New Year's Day in (I think) 2015 and then took it down approx 6 months later. It got a great response so I decided to put it on my next LP (doesnt make sense on that one, so it ended up here!)

Funfact: I wrote this verse intended for my regular older J57 style of rapping vocally; not this sing-songy thing I did. I wrote the hook and the verse on the spot bc I loved the beat so much and recorded it a week later. When I went to record it, I was alone so I got 'weird' with it and tried this style for fun. Everything you hear on this song were first take vocals -- Dont know how or why this style happened, but I'm fucking glad it did bc it made me want to take more chances and risks and it really helped me find my 'sound' as a solo artist (which I didnt not have prior to recording this song).
